G.S. Natural srl is a new startup company born in 2019, with the goal to bring to the market a new line of unique products. Our selection of savory and sweet items have the peculiarity to be enriched by a special and unusual ingredient: flour from red grape seeds.

The idea was born after several confrontations and studies between the company owner Giacomo Pinat and his family. They wondered if there was an alternative and interesting way of using the grape marcs, being back then, just considered as leftovers from the wine production.

All their attention has been focused on the precious grape seeds and their amazing proprieties. From the very beginning they thought to produce a flour following the steps of the predecessor Pietro Antonio, who far back in 1880 was selling flour around Trieste area.

And so… During the grape harvest time of the year, they decided to collect the first red grape marcs and to sort our manually all the seeds in it.

The grinding process of the seeds opened up a perfect scenario for the food market use: fruity scents combined with chocolate and vanilla notes were so distinct that became clear the great combination in development.

The first attempts of baking confirmed right away the good and interesting use of the red grapes seeds flour to make cookies, grissini, bread and focaccia; opening up a new path.

From a nutritional point of view the red grape seeds flour is an excellent product, and G.S. Natural choose to give birth to a selection of products conveying genuine and organic certified ingredients; without artificial additives and food coloring.

The production process is now entirely mechanical and take place in different stages: sifting the seeds, washing, drying and at the very send grinding them.
All the stages are very important, and all of them must be followed carefully and properly to don’t compromise the final result of the flour.

A very accurate selections of the grape marcs and a proper way of storing them, are the most crucial and relevant steps to take to ensure a top quality final product.

The mechanical sifting process separates the grape skin from the seeds and another component instead; takes care to wash off every skin residue from the seeds.

At this point the seeds will be transported on a belt direct to a dryer that will reduce slowly the humidity until they reach the right percentage to finally be grinded to obtain this valuable and aromatic red grapes seeds flour.
